Coasters are a beautiful and functional addition to home and office. Sew your own 4-inch coasters as an introduction to the basics of coiled rope basketry. Coasters made from 100% cotton rope are absorbent, washable, and durable - stitch up a set as a hostess gift, housewarming gift, or to add a bit of color to a room.

Level: Skilled Beginner - The skilled beginner is comfortable with the following basics of sewing machine use: threading the machine, changing stitches, adjusting stitch length/width, pivoting, and guiding a project through the machine as instructed.

Pattern includes:

• Details for setting the sewing machine

• Step-by-step instructions and illustrations

• Tips for incorporating fabrics + other ways to customize the look of the coasters

In addition to the pattern, you will need:

• 12 Yards of Mountain Thread Company 100% Cotton Rope

• 1 Size 16 Denim Needle

• 1 220-Yard Spool of Aurifil Thread

• Sewing Machine with Zigzag Stitch

• Scissors

• Optional: Fabric Scraps
